About About Courtney
Courtney Coleman is a twenty-something year old children's interaction designer and technology educator in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area.
Although many consider Courtney to be a "jack-of-all trades", due to her ecclectic multimedia skillset, Courtney's current interests, research projects and future aspirations revolve around the development and research children's interactive technologies.
Courtney uses her multimedia background in graphic arts, video, animation and photography to enhance interactive technologies that are based on knowledge of what kids like, sound children's interaction design principles for learning and research. Furthermore, from working with kids in formal and informal capacities, from a wide array of socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnicities, and cultures, as an Certified Elementary and Secondary Technology Educator, mentor, camp counselor, and tutor, she strives to create interactive learning experiences that are not only enjoyable, but are effective.

Courtney has designed for a wide range of purposes and audiences including graphic design, mobile design game design, web design photography, videography, and print design.
Although she has an eye and appreciation for all types of design, she is the most passionate about children's interaction design, specifically designs for effective learning. She strives to provide effective, fun, and inspiring learning tools based on research and by staying "in touch" with what kids like.
